21st Century Warrior Series: Bringing Compassion into Our World

with Victoria Wright and Greg Webster

21st November – 12th December 2019

Four Thursday evenings from 19:45 - 21:30

West Oxford Community Centre, Botley Road, Oxford, OX2 0BT.

Compassion often seems in short supply in today's society, yet it is possible to not only find instances of compassion, but to cultivate compassion for ourselves and others. But what do we mean by compassion and how is this different from sympathy? In these sessions, by referencing core Buddhist teachings, we will examine how to cultivate compassion starting with ourselves. We will develop an understanding of what constitutes being compassionate and how this might manifest in the world. Each session will include meditation, a short talk, and lots of opportunity for interactive discussion.

The cost is £20 for the 4 weeks, or £5 per session if joining after the course has started.
